Multiplier events in Aarhus, Denmark
Two multiplier events were held In Denmark. The first took place on September 6th at SOSU Ostjylland and the second on September 24th at DOKK1 in Aarhus, Denmark.
The most challenging area for Denmark, regarding missing people, is people with dementia.
More than twice as many people with dementia disappears every year, than people who do not have dementia. And the largest part of these disappearances have fatal outcome.
The two multiplier events were aimed at actors who contribute to handling the rising challenge. There were representatives from a national NGO “Ældre Sagen” with more than 700.000 members and also representatives from the municipal organ “Ældrerådet”, churches and sports clubs.
The presentation of LOST and Missing People surprised the audience but we received statements from the participants to rise to the challenge.
New meetings between the actors in LOST and participating groups have already been made.
